Diagnosis. The forewing length is 11.5 mm in the male holotype. Siccia angusta sp. n. is most reminiscent of S. kachina sp. n. and the detailed comparison of the external morphology as well as the male genitalia structures of these species is provided above in the diagnosis of S. kachina sp. n. Compared to another similar species, S. stellatus ( Fang, 2000) ( Figs 5, 6 View Figures 1–8 ), the new species has pale ochreous forewing ground colour (it is creamy white in the congener), a more distinct postmedial line, and a larger subapical costal spot. In the male genital capsule, S. angusta sp. n. is distinguished from S. stellatus ( Fig. 35 View Figures 33–36 ) by the longer and thicker uncus, the longer and more distally tapered valva, the smooth proximal section of the cucullus (it is strongly convex in the congener), the shorter distal process of the cucullus, the larger distal membranous lobe, and the shorter distal saccular process. The phallus of the new species is considerably narrower than in S. stellatus and lacks the medial lateral protrusion, which is typical of the congener. The vesica configurations of the two species are similar but that of S. angusta sp. n. is narrower and has shorter subbasal diverticula than in S. stellatus , and its distal diverticulum is shorter and directed anterio-dorsally, whereas it is recurved in the congener.
The female is unknown.
Distribution. Northern Vietnam (border of Lai Châu and Lào Cai Provinces).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin ‘angustus’ meaning ‘narrow’ and refers to the narrow phallus of the new species. The name is an adjective in apposition to the generic name.
