Diagnosis. The forewing length is 10.0 mm in the male holotype. Siccia dilatata sp. n. is similar to S. chinensis (Daniel, 1951) ( Fig. 8 View Figures 1–8 ) but distinguished by the diffuse forewing pattern with indistinct transverse lines. The male genital capsule of the new species differs from S. chinensis ( Fig. 42 View Figures 41–44 ) in the remarkably longer uncus with a strongly elongate and acute tip, the rectangular saccus (it is rather U-shaped in the congener), the medially strongly convex dorsal margin of the valva, and the broader and more apically tapered distal saccular process. The phallus of S. dilatata sp. n. is shorter and distally narrower than in the similar congener. Compared to S. chinensis , the vesica of S. dilatata sp. n. is substantially broader and has longer and broader ventral diverticula; the dorsal diverticulum of the new species is extremely broad, sacklike and with a small claw-shaped cornutus apically whereas that of S. chinensis is narrow, utricular, and bears a thorn-shaped cornutus distally-laterally.

The female is unknown.

Distribution. Northern Vietnam (Hòa Bình Province).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin ‘dilatatus’ meaning ‘dilated’ and refers to the broad vesica of the new species. The name is an adjective in apposition to the generic name.
