Remarks. Originally described in Paraguay in 1906 by Stingelin, S. latirostris might be characterized by having a well-developed and acute posterior-dorsal angle of the carapace ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ), a relatively large eye and lozenge ocellus ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ); head free from spines or denticles; antennule long in correspondence with long rostrum ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ) ( Elmoor-Loureiro 1997; Orlova-Bienkowskaja 1995, 1998).
