TYPE LOCALITY: U.S.A., California, Solano Co., Grizzly Isl. (near Suisun) .
DISTRIBUTION: Grizzly Isl. and adjacent tidal marshes of north San Francisco Bay.
COMMENT: May prove to be a subspecies of ornatus ; see Hall, 1981:40; Junge and Hoffmann, 1981:34.
