Sphaerophrya amoeboides (Sand, 1899)

Record as epibiont on cnidarians: This species was reported under the name Trichophrya amoeboides Sand, 1899 as epibiont on hydroids, collected near Concarneau, the Atlantic coast of France ( Kahl 1934).

Record as epibiont on other hosts: The species was found also on algae at the same locality ( Kahl 1934).

Remarks: The species Trichophrya amoeboides was transferred into the genus Sphaerophrya by Dovgal (2002).
