Stachylina lentica M.M. White & Lichtw, Mycologia View in CoL 96: 900. 2004. (Figs 61–64)

Specimens examined: — COLOMBIA. SANTANDER: Berlin; Río Arenales, prepared from the peritrophic matrix of Chironomidae sp. Larvae, D. Baron, COL12–Tr39, Tr40; Piedecuesta; Río El Rasgón, prepared from the peritrophic matrix of Chironomidae larvae, D. Baron, COL17–Tr50.

Comments: — St. lentica has been reported within Chironomidae sp. larvae from Norway ( White and Lichtwardt 2004), Argentina ( Siri 2008) and Italy ( Valle et al. 2013). Our specimens had thalli measuring 51–177 long, producing 1–3 generative cells, with a basal holdfast measuring 2.7–7.1 μm diameter. Trichospores were long–ellipsoidal, 36–45 × 4.5–7.5 μm, with a short collar 2.5–3.5 μm long. The appendages were not seen. Zygospores not found.
