HOLOTYPE: AMNH 161938 About AMNH (not 161983), adult male, collected at Faradje, 03.45N, 29.42E ( Chapin, 1954a), upper Uele (5 Uelle ) River , Congo (Kinshasa), on 9 November 1911, by James P. Chapin (no. 3408), on the Lang-Chapin Congo Expedition. GoogleMaps

COMMENTS: Chapin miscited the AMNH number of the holotype in the original description, but the other data given are correct. There are four paratypes, all collected at Faradje by Chapin: AMNH 161939 About AMNH (Chapin no. 4355), male, 12 December 1912 ; AMNH 161940 About AMNH (4371), male, 17 December 1912 ; AMNH 161941 About AMNH (3437), immature male, 17 November 1911 ; AMNH 161942 About AMNH (3438), immature male, 17 November 1911 .
