COMMON NAME (S): Eggar, Snout moth (although this also refers to the Pyralidae ) or Lappet moth.
SYNONYM(S): Gastropacha bicrenulata Bethune-Baker, 1915 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Type locality is Feira [now Luangwa town], Altitude 366 m, NE Rhodesia [now NE Zambia], in Lusaka Province ; Also reported from Ndola and Kitwe, in Copperbelt Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Unknown.
