Chodat & Hassler (1905) established Stillingia saxatilis var. salicifolia View in CoL , but they did not relate it to any type collection. At the same time, they proposed the two formae, S. saxatilis var. salicifolia f. latior View in CoL and S. saxatilis var. salicifolia f. angustior View in CoL , for which they mentioned three (Hassler 4360, 4494, and 4446) and two collections (Hassler 4424 and 5612), respectively. Thus, it was necessary to designate lectotypes, indicating Hassler 4360 (G 00306603), as the lectotype of S. saxatilis var. salicifolia View in CoL and S. saxatilis var. salicifolia f. latior View in CoL . Therefore f. latior is homotypic with the variety and should be renamed as f. salicifolia . The choice of this specimen is based on its good conservation status and compliance with the description of the protologue. Similarly, the specimen Hassler 4424 (G 00306612), is designated as the lectotype of S. saxatilis var. salicifolia f. angustior View in CoL .
