Description of Streptomyces netropsis View in CoL 19D2S3

Cells are facultatively aerobic, Gram­staining­positive, non­flagellated and filamentous. Colonies are irregular, flat and brown colored after incubation for 4 days on MH agar at 30℃. In the API 20NE system, positive reaction for urease activity, hydrolysis of esculin and gelatin, β-galactosidase activity, oxidase activity and utilization of Dglucose , D­mannose, N ­acetyl­glucosamine, potassium gluconate, adipic acid (weak), malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid (weak). In the API 20NE system, negative reaction for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase and utilization of L­arabinose, D­mannitol, D­maltose and capric acid. Strain 19D2S3 (= NIBRBAC000503278) was isolated from soil around the Dong River, Gangwon Province, Korea (37°18′48.5″N 128°37′37.6″E) GoogleMaps .
