Length: 8mm – 13mm (32 specimens).
Head: Red-brown to almost black; finely and diffusely punctate to wrinkled.
Antennae: Red-brown to dark brown; not reaching base of pronotum when laid alongside; A5–A10 serrate. Pronotum: Light to dark reddish brown (disc may be black with reddish brown spots); anterior half subparallel, conspicuously constricted towards base; surface anterior to transverse depression wrinkled; disc finely and diffusely punctate and wrinkled, with four more or less distint elevations; length:width ratio 1.49:1. Scutellum: Brown to red.
Elytra: Light brown to red-brown, each elytron with a whitish to yellow lateral spot in the basal third and a whitish to yellow transverse fascia in the middle, mostly spanning from lateral to sutural margins, with a narrow, short extension towards base, fascia more or less broadly bordered black; diameter of punctures smaller, equal or larger than interstices, behind fasciae elongate, apex finely punctate; length:width ratio 2.46:1.
Legs: Brown to black.
Lower surface: Head and prothorax brown to red, meso- and metathorax dark brown to black-brown, abdomen light brown to red-brown with first ventrite darker.
Vestiture: With whitish to yellowish hairs.
Distribution: Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe.
