Type Locality: Ecuador, Napo, Baeza, Upper Coca River, 6,500 ft. (1,981 m).
Vernacular Names: Bidentate Yellow-shouldered Bat.
Distribution: Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, perhaps Amazonian Brazil.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: Subgenus Corvira . Formerly placed in a distinct genus ( Corvira ); see Gardner and O'Neill (1969) and Jones and Carter (1976). See Molinari and Soriano (1987).
