= Eugenia praetermissa Gage (1906: 6) View in CoL . Lectotype (designated here):— INDIA. Khasia Hills Griffith s.n. (K! [barcode K001004580 ]). Remaining syntypes:— Gage s.n. (CAL!), Mann s.n. (n.v.), and Prazer s.n. (n.v.).

Distribution:— India [Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram]; 300‒ 900 m.

Notes:—The protologue included the following specimens: Assam: Griffith, Khasia Hills: Griffith, Mann, Kendat in Upper Burma: Prazer ; and S. Lushai Hills, Assam: Gage. The Gage collection and the Griffith specimen from Khasia Hills were both found and the Griffith specimen in the Kew herbarium was chosen as lectotype because of the better material and the condition of the sheet.
