Tabanus semiargenteus Olsufjev, 1937 View in CoL
This species belongs to bovinus -group, within a small semiargenteus -subgroup ( Zeegers & Müller 2014). According to Zeegers & Müller (2014), the subgroup is distinguished by an oddly silvery gloss along the tergites' yellowish or reddish side markings. This silvery shimmer is quite noticeable and visible to the naked eye from all directions. Tabanus semiargenteus was recorded in Syria ( Zeegers & Müller (2014).
