Holotype: UPR-M 6060.

Type locality: “ Guacharaquita, 1,768 m, entre La Grita y Páramo de La Negra, Edo. Táchira, Venezuela.”

Distribution: Region 1. Known from scattered localities in cloud forests of Táchira and Mérida States.
