Tachytes sibiricus Gussakovskij, 1932: 14 (as sibirica, incorrect original termination), ♀ (holotype), Russia: Primorskij Kray: Khabarovsk [ZIN].

Tachytes etruscus sibiricus Gussakovskij : Nemkov in Nemkov et al., 1995: 409 (new status, in key); Li et al., 2008: 154 –155 ( Korea included in distribution in key to Tachytes of China); Terayama, 2008: 14 (Korean peninsula included in distribution in synopsis of Japanese Larrini species), 20 (in list of Japanese species of the tribe Larrini ); Nemkov, 2009: 77 ( Korea included in distribution in new catalog of Sphecidae and Crabronidae of Asiatic Russia).

Tachytes nipponicus Tsuneki, 1964a: 2 –3 (in key), 6–8, ♂ (holotype) and ♀, Japan: Fukui Prefecture: no specific locality [MNHAH], and other Japanese (from Prefs. Fukui, Saitama, Fukuoka) and Korean specimens (from Seoul), synonymized with Tachytes etruscus sibiricus by Nemkov et al., 1995: 409 (in key); Tsuneki, 1964b: 63 ( Korea included in distribution in key to Larrinae of Korea and Japan); Kim, 1970: Pl. 57 Fig. 675, 580 (diagnosis based on Korean specimen from Donguleung), 809 (in the list of Hymenoptera from Korea); Tsuneki, 1974: 362 ( North Korea: Prov. South Pyonan: Zamosan); Bohart & Menke, 1976: 266 ( Korea included in distribution in checklist of world Sphecidae ); Tsuneki, 1982: 4 ( North Korea: Prov. Pyong Sung: Bek-sung-li, Zamosan), 15 (in list of the species of the Sphecidae known from the Korean Peninsula); Paik, 1985: 199 (in list of Sphecidae of Korea); Tsuneki, 1991: 199 (in list of Sphecidae from Korea).;

Diagnosis. Female. Body length 15.4–16.0 mm. Inner eye margins strongly divergent below, MID ca. 4.3 × as long as LID ( Fig. 2 C). Pygidial plate an isosceles triangle in shape, its apical margin broadly round. Body largely black, but following parts brown to ferruginous: fore tibiae, tarsi of all legs, tegula, spurs and spines of all legs, basal half of mandible, and palpi.

Male. Body length 11.5–14.2 mm. Bristles on pygidial plate golden. MID ca. 6.4 × as long as LID ( Fig. 2 D). Apical margin of clypeus round ( Fig. 2 D). Genitalia as in Fig. 4 D: gonocoxite slender, rod-shaped, with trapezoidal turbercle in its proximal part; inner margin of digitus with comparatively long and dense setae (in the other Korean species, setae shorter or sparser); middle part of aedeagus slightly constricted.

Yeo); 1 ♂, ditto, 24.viii.2001 (H.S. Lee); 1 ♂, Gadeok-ri, Geumseong-myeon, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, 3.x.2002 (S.J. Lee); 1 ♂, ditto, 23.ix.2000 (S.J. Lee).

Distribution. Russian Far East; Korea; Japan.
