Material examined. Dominican Republic: Holotype ♂ ( AMNH) . Other material: 1 ♂ ( MHNG) .

Description of adult by Klimaszewski (1997); habitus of female figured by Schlee (1980).

Fifth instar immature unknown.

Distribution. Dominican Republic (Klimaszewski 1997).

Host plant unknown.

Comments. Klimaszewski (1997) described † Vicinilura reposta from a single male from Dominican amber. He suggested that Vicinilura resembles Euphyllura Foerster , though not specifying how, and Ligustrinia Loginova in the head morphology. In the description, Klimaszewski (1996) mentions the lack of a meracanthus on the metacoxa. His description and drawing of the forewing suggest that there is no costal break developed. Based on the absence of a meracanthus and a costal break in the forewing, Burckhardt & Ouvrard (2012) synonymised † Vicinilura with Leurolophus and transferred † V. reposta to the latter. The examination of the holotype confirmed that the species belongs to the Rhinocolinae but showed that a costal break is present. For this reason, we transfer the species to Tainarys as † Tainarys reposta (Klimaszewski, 1997) , comb. nov.
