Temelucha pestifer ( Morley, 1913) View in CoL
( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 c)
Cremastus pestifer Morley, 1913: 499
Diagnosis. Temelucha pestifer is characterized by its short and stout tergite I, with petiole hardly longer than postpetiole.
Description. Morley (1913).
Biological notes. Collected in rice field ( Oryza sativa ) and associated with an unknown stem borer (Momoi 1968).
Comments. The general aspect of T. pestifer makes it very close to other local Temelucha such as T. basiornata . Its presumed presence in Reunion might ensue from a misidentification but we could not locate the specimen determined by Benoit (1957).
Distribution records. India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and possibly Reunion.
Material examined. HOLOTYPE Ƥ ( BNHM HYM 3b 1460) Verbatim label data: Brit. Mus. 1927–486, Ceylon S.P., Weligama, leg. T.S.F., 22.I.08.
