Laminanthrax Greathead, 1967: 251 . Type species: Laminanthrax albus Greathead, 1967 [= Thyridanthrax chionophorus Bezzi, 1925 ], by original designation.
Comments: Laminanthrax is the most plesiomorphic genus in the Villini, and has well developed normal pulvilli unlike other genera included in the tribe (except Synthesia ).
Distribution: South-west Palaearctic and north-east Africa. Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia: 1 species; Laminanthrax chionophorus (Bezzi) .
