General distribution pattern. In tropical and subtropical Africa: Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Kenya, South Africa and Uganda; its area is expanded towards the Arabian Peninsula ( Yemen).
Distribution in Ethiopia. Everywhere except highlands above 3.000 m and deserts. Common.
