Host plant. Rhamnus davurica Pall. (Rhamnaceae) ( Kwon 1983).
Comments. According to Loginova (1974b), Trichochermes grandis and T. gemellus differ from each other in the body colour, size and forewing pattern (with each a brown stripe basally and apically in T. grandis and variable in T. gemellus ). We compared type material (ZIN) of both species and found no significant morphological differences, including in the male and female terminalia suggesting the two are conspecific. We propose, therefore, the following new synonymy: Trichochermes grandis Loginova, 1965 = Trichochermes gemellus Loginova, 1974 , syn. nov.
