Remarks. Hygrogeus alticola was originally described based on a female from “Cachemire, Bradinath [Badrinath]...”. This medium-sized (5.70 mm) species was compared with H. kumaonensis (see below) and distinguished from it by the smaller and narrower body, shorter antennae and larger punctation of the elytra. Based on morphological features provided in the original description, this species belong to the genus Trichodromeus .
