Remarks. Identification follows Triebel (1948) and Maddocks (1969a). Occurrences of the species in Belize ( Teeter 1973, 1975), Huahine and Tuamotu, French Polynesia ( Hartmann 1984), and Pitcairn and Henderson islands ( Whatley & Roberts 1995; Whatley et al. 2004) are not entirely confirmed due to the quality of the images in original works.
