Prout. Paratype (photo G. Ronkay from coll. BMNH); 1 male, S. Sulawesi (Celebes) Puncak, Paolo, 2˚33ʹS 120˚05ʹEL, i.1997, 650 – 1300 m. leg. local collector, coll. Dr. R. Diagnosis. Adult ( Figs. 17–20 View FIGURES 17 – 22 ). Wingspan 47–58 mm. We identified two examined specimens from Sulawesi ( Figs. 19, 20 View FIGURES 17 – 22 ) as T. sericea hawkeri by comparison with photograph of the paratype ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 17 – 22 ). The subspecies hawkeri differs from the nominate by the brown-reddish color of body and forewing and by the more uniformly yellow color of hindwing, without blackish basal area and with reduced terminal band. The male genitalia of the specimen from Sulawesi ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 48 – 50 ) does not differ from Indian specimen ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 45 – 47 ).
Distribution and biology. Indonesia: Sulawesi, Reg. Sulawesi Selatan, Molukkes, Prov. Maluku, Buru, Kako Tagalago, Gamoe Mrapat.
