Tumeochrysa magnifica Hölzel, 1973: 371 View in CoL . Type locality: Nepal (Junbesi). Holotype in ZSM.
Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the presence of the head without spots, the broad scape with tubercle on the inner side, and the median arch of male gonarcus with tapered projections.
Description. Male. Body length 16.4–17.8 mm, forewing length 21.0– 22.6 mm, hindwing length 19.5–20.5 mm.
Head without spots, vertex raised. Compound eyes prominent and black. Antennae yellow, scape broad, with prominent tubercle on inner side. Frons, clypeus and gena without spots. Maxillary and labial palpi brownish yellow.
Thorax with dense setae, with reddish stripe near middle and irregular brown markings on lateral side.
Legs with dense setae and without spots. Pretarsal claws brown, with basal dilation.
Forewing long and narrow, without shadings. Pterostigma indistinct. Costal area with 35–36 crossveins; 23–25 radial crossveins present. m1 smaller than m2; im triangular; 15–17 crossveins present between Psm and Psc. c1 smaller than c2, dcc closed. Gradates in four divergent rows, inner gradate series extended basally parallel to Psm.
Hindwing long and narrow, without shadings. Pterostigma indistinct. Costal area with 27–30 crossveins; 20–21 radial crossveins and 14 psm-psc crossveins present. Gradates in three divergent rows, basal crossvein of inner gradate series not meeting Psm.
Abdomen with dense setae. Tergum VII and sternum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII and sternum VIII about half length of tergum VII; sternum IX elongated; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Gonarcus arcuate, median arch with tapered projections, lateral arms expanded; entoprocessus broad; arcessus curved, widest at base and pointed at tip.
Female. Body length 16.7 mm, forewing length 22.5 mm, hindwing length 17.1 mm.
Sternum VII longer than tergum VII; tergum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII shorter than tergum VII obviously; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Subgenitale bilobed apically; spermatheca thick, vela short, ventral impression absent, duct long and coiled.
Material. 2♂ 1♀, China, Xizang, Shigatse, Nyalam, Yatung , 2900 m, 2020.VIII.02–04, Yuchen Zheng ( CAU) ; 1♂, China, Xizang, Shigatse, Nyalam, Yatung , 2018.VIII.23, Lixiang Wang ( CAU) .
Distribution. China (Xizang); Nepal (Junbesi).
Remarks. This species was established by Hölzel (1973) and can be distinguished by the scape with tubercle on inner side and the median arch of male gonarcus with tapered projections. This species is firstly recorded from China.
