Diagnosis. Head ( Fig. 43A) pale with brownish posterior margin; premandible as in Fig. 43B; SI seta deeply divided; premandible simple with apical notch; antenna ( Fig. 43C) 5-segmented with segment 3 shorter than segment 4; mandible ( Fig. 43D) with 4 inner teeth, no apparent serrations on inner margin; mentum ( Fig. 43E) with bifid median tooth and 5 lateral teeth, base angulate; VM plate narrow, curved distally and connecting basally to a dark triangular plate; [abdomen missing].
Notes. The larva keys to the last couplet (4) in Epler (2001, sec. 7.153). The premandible is notched and the first antennal segment is about 65 µm long, as in T. sp. GA, but the shape of the mentum is identical to T. sp. NC.
Sampling sites. Massasauga Provincial Park.
Nearctic distribution. Canada: Ontario.
