Lectotype (designated here):— GREECE? Eparchia Rodou ? [Sibthorp s.n.] ( OXF Acc. no Sib-0523b).

Notes: Sibthorp possibly collected the species from Northern Rhodes on 28 of May 1787 (discussed above). The more intact specimen has been selected as the lectotype. Unfortunately, the remaining original specimen is damaged in the upper cauline leaves. Also, the lectotype exhibits a more typical branching pattern of the inflorescence.
