Type locality. Tairua.

Type material examined. 2 exx. Syntype ( NHM): card-mounted, “ Veronatus longi- \ cornis Type D. S. \ Tairua Broun” [written at base of card in Sharp’s hand], “ Type ” [round label with red border], “Sharp Coll. \ 1905-313.” Syntype ( NHM): ventrally card-mounted, “ Veronatus longicor- \ nis Ind. typ. \ D. S. \ Tairua Broun” [written at base of card in Sharp’s hand], “Sharp Coll \ 1905-313.”, “ Veronatus \ longicornis Shp ” [handwritten].

Remarks. Specimens collected in Tairua were sent to Sharp by T. Broun (Sharp 1878).
