Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: ON. USA: AR, CO, CT, DC, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, VA, WV, WI.

Collection and Habitat data. In NH captured in a termite nest, a carpenter ant colony/nest, and in a house. Adults collected from April to August. Elsewhere reported from ant nests of Camponotus americanus Mayr , C. noveboracensis (Fitch) , C. ferrugineus (Fab.) , C. pennsylvanicus (DeGeer) , Formica pallidefulva nitidiventris Emery , F. rubicunda Emery , F. schaufussi Mayr , F. exsectoides Forel , F. rufa group, and a Myrmica sp. (Hoebeke 1976, Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
