Xylocoris afer : PÉRICART (1970): 748 (treated as Xylocoris View in CoL without any comment on new generic combination).
Xylocoris (Proxylocoris) afer : CARAYON (1972b): 595 (new subgeneric placement).
Material examined. INDIA: KARNATAKA: Bangalore, Hebbal, viii.2012, 2 13 ♀♀ ( TKPM, NBAIR) .
Distribution in India. Karnataka: Bangalore ( BALLAL & YAMADA 2016).
General distribution. Australia ( CASSIS & GROSS 1995), Israel ( PÉRICART 1996), New Guinea ( PÉRICART 1996), subtropical and tropical Africa ( PÉRICART 1996), tropical America ( CARPINTERO 2002), Yemen ( LINNAVUORI & VAN HARTEN 2002).
Biology. Reported from the dry fruits of Ficus and Lagerstromia flos-reginae ( BALLAL & YAMADA 2016).
