Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 A–C

Diagnosis. In Z. marcoi the gonocoxites have an unusually large, evenly U-shaped ventral emargination ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 A), and the ejaculatory apodeme has a short sclerotized point beyond the accessory gland ducts ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 B).

Other male characters. Body length 1.6 mm. Head. Eye narrowed ventrally, eye bridge 10–11 ommatidia long dorsally. Scape twice as long as pedicel. With 18–21 flagellomeres. Fourth flagellomere ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 C): neck length 0.4 × node length, neck with microtrichia basally, circumfilum unusually strongly sinuous. Palpus 4- segmented. Terminalia. Gonocoxites ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 A): ventral emargination with pigmented collar. Gonostylus slender, evenly curved ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 A). Ejaculatory apodeme longer than parameres ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 B). Parameres ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 B): basal portion subrectangular, apical portion short, tulip-shaped, 1 pair of processes each with 4–6 points, lateral shoulders (largely hidden behind the processes) pronounced.

Etymology. This species is named after Marco Moraga, an INBio-trained parataxonomist who has performed both field and laboratory work for the ZADBI project.

Types. Holotype. Male, Costa Rica, San José province, Moravia, Zurquí de Moravia, 1600 m, 17 March 2013, CDC light trap, ZADBI Project (ZADBI #567, INBio #106295). Paratypes. 2 males, same data as the holotype; 1 male, same locality, 24 Sep. 2012, CDC light trap, ZADBI Project (ZADBI #53, INBio #105066); 1 male, same locality, 20 Oct. 2012, CDC light trap, ZADBI Project (ZADBI #152, INBio #105261).
