Ziridava kanshireiensis Prout, 1958 View in CoL .

Holotype male (slide Geom:11212HT-JDH-wrong abdomen), Taiwan, Kanshirei (examined); paratype male, slide Geom:11215PT-JHD, Figs 3–4 View FIGURES 3–5 ); paratype female (slide Geom:11256PT- JHD, Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3–5 ) ( NHM).

Ziridava xylinaria kanshireiensis Prout, 1958 View in CoL .

Ziridava kanshireiensis Prout View in CoL ; Holloway, 1982: 248.

Notes. This species, Z. baliensis Prout (Bali, Flores), Z. khasiensis Prout (N.E. Himalaya) and Z. rubridisca (Hampson) (S. India, Sri Lanka) were recognized as distinct from xylinaria by Holloway (1982). Apparently, on the slide marked as Z. kanshireiensis , holotype male a wrong abdomen was mounted. Reviewing the larentiine moth fauna of China, Xue & Zhu (1999) presented a drawing of male genitalia of the species Z. kanshireiensis , which displays deviations. The identity of the species needs to be verified.

Geographical range. Taiwan: Kanshirei; Philippines; Peninsular Malaysia; Borneo (lower montane) (see Holloway 1997).
