Sinopoda nanphagu View in CoL spec. nov.
Figs 31 View FIGURES 31 a–b, 61 c–d
Type material: Holotype: female (SD 1146), MYANMAR: Southern Shan State: Pinlaung, Nanpha Gu (NF47- 13-086), N20°07’52.4’’, E96°45’50.9’’, 1480 m, 31 January 2012, H. Steiner leg., field number 020/12- ( SMF). GoogleMaps
Etymology: The species name is derived from the name of the Nanpha Gu Cave in Myanmar in which the type was collected; term in apposition.
Diagnosis: Females of S. nanphagu spec. nov. are similar to those of S. fornicata Liu et al., 2008 , S. taa and S. improcera Zhong et al., 2019 in having the anterior part of the internal duct system appearing as a separated swelling. They can be distinguished from S. fornicata by 1. straight posterior margin of lateral lobes with small median indentation (without indentation and margin of lateral lobes roughly forming a triangle in S. fornicata ), 2. lobal septum anteriorly with median indentation (without median indentation in S. fornicata ), 3. posterior part of the internal duct system without twin-structure (with twin-structure in S. fornicata ) and 4. fertilization ducts situated postero-laterally (situated postero-medially in S. fornicata ); from S. taa by 1. median part of lobal septum not curved (slightly curved in S. taa ), 2. glandular appendages slightly curved (nearly straight in S. taa ). 3. anterior part of internal duct system straight (bulging laterally in S. taa ) and 4. distal part of fertilization ducts narrow (leafshaped in S. taa ); from S. improcera by 1. bigger body size reaching 23.40 (15.30 in S. improcera ), 2. internal duct system longer than wide (wider than long in S. improcera ) and 3. glandular appendages curved (nearly straight in S. improcera ).
Description: Female (holotype): Total length 23.40; prosoma 9.60 long, 8.00 wide, anterior width of prosoma 4.60; opisthosoma 13.10 long, 9.20 wide. Eye measurements: AME 0.38; ALE 0.58; PME 0.42; PLE 0.56; AME–AME 0.38; AME–ALE 0.11; PME–PME 0.48; PME–PLE 0.64; AME–PME 0.58; ALE–PLE 0.55; clypeus AME 0.70; clypeus ALE 0.60. Leg formula: 2143. Measurements of palp and legs: palp: 14.40 (4.40, 2.30, 3.20, 4.50); I: 40.30 (10.70, 4.60, 11.30, 10.70, 3.00); II: 43.40 (11.90, 4.90, 12.40, 11.20, 3.00); III: 35.70 (10.10, 4.00, 10.20, 9.40, 2.00); IV: 39.60 (10.90, 4.10, 10.60, 11.00, 3.00). Spination: palp: 131, 101, 2121, 1014; legs: Fe I–III 323, IV 321; Pa I–III 101, IV 000; Ti I–II 2026, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 1014, III–IV 3036. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior and 4 posterior teeth.
Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma yellowish-brown, lateral and anterior part with dark brown spots, posteriorly with yellow transversal stripe. Sternum yellowish-brown with brown margin laterally. Opisthosoma greyish-brown, medially with dark brown spots, posterior part dark brown, laterally grey, ventral part yellowish-brown with brown spots, medio-posteriorly with yellow spot. Chelicerae reddish-brown. Palps brown; Mt reddish-brown. Legs yellowish-brown; Mt and Ta I–II reddish-brown.
Copulatory organ as in diagnosis. Epigynal field wider than long with two anterior bands and two slit sensilla. Epigynal pockets running from latero-posterior to medio-anterior. Lobal septum wide, anteriorly with small indentation. Lateral lobes fused, posteriorly with small indentation. Fusion bubbles situated medially on epigyne. Spermathecae fused along median line and posterior part bulging postero-laterally. Glandular appendages extending posteriorly from posterior half of the internal duct system, wide. Fertilization ducts long, situated postero-laterally, proximal part wide and distally bent.
Male: Unknown.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
