Notaulus wide. Mesoscutellar sulcus narrow; posterior mesoscutellar sulcus present. Metapectal-propodeal disc short; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges absent; metapostnotal-propodeal suture convergent to first metapostnotal carina; paraspiracular carina present and conspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Distribution. Brazil: Bahia.

Remarks. This new species differs from A. nigripes Evans, 1966 by having the antennal flagellomeres serrate; the pronotal disc with its transverse pronotal carina and posterior pronotal sulcus followed by a series of great foveae; the metapostnotum with the first metapostnotal carina and metapostnotal-propodeal suture convergent; and the mesopleuron with the anterior fovea longer than the posterior, whereas A. nigripes has the antennal flagellomeres filiform; the pronotal disc with its transverse pronotal carina and posterior pronotal sulcus not followed by foveae; the metapostnotum with the first metapostnotal carina and metapostnotal-propodeal suture fused posteriorly; and the mesopleuron with the anterior fovea as long as the posterior.
