Type locality. M-1 landmark, Serra de Pacaraima , headwaters of Rio Uraricapará on the Brazilian side (state of Roraima) and Río Paraguamusi on the Venezuelan side (estado Bolivar). Brazilian-Venezuelan border .

Distribution. Recorded at the Brazil-Venezuela border on the Guiana Shield ( Plt. 167A View Plate 167 ). Restricted to northern Guianan savannas ( Plt. 167A View Plate 167 ) at intermediate to high elevations ( Plt. 167B View Plate 167 ). No detailed field data on habitat use are available for this species.
