Type locality. Bangladesh: Dhaka (‘Deccan’), coll. M. S. Stevens.

Type depository. MNHN .

Specimen examined (n=1). Syntype labelled: “‘Deccan’, coll. Stevens, det. Chaudoir”.

Description. Length 6.5 mm. Head and pronotum reddish yellow; legs, spots on elytra, lateral margin of elytra (except the basal portion) and first four segments of antennae pale reddish yellow; eyes black; elytra brownish black.

Head slender, longer than broad, neck with fine setae, otherwise glabrous, frons, vertex smooth, shiny; frontal foveae shallow; eyes protruding; antennae long, slender, reaching the middle of elytra, segment 3 equals the combined length of segments 1 and 2.

Pronotum narrower than head, wider than long, densely pubescent, smooth; disc with apical margin inwardly sinuate, without lateral sides projecting forward, basal margin straight; disc laterally with anterior two-thirds convex, posterior third divergent, hind angles blunt, acute, slight lateral projection; median groove shallow; lateral bead narrow, with dark brown shade.

Elytra long, narrow, subparallel, base narrowed, rounded, humerus erased, apex with less evident re-entrant angle, having membranous border; disc densely pubescent, covered with yellow setae; striations shallow, faint, rounded, intervals narrow; two reddish yellow spots, first elongate oval, placed near base, extending between fifth stria and lateral margin, second rounded, placed just after the mid region, a wide reddish yellow line running from the basal spot to apex.

Distribution. INDIA: Madhya Pradesh: Dr. Ambedkar Nagar. BANGLADESH: Dhaka. CAMBODIA: Phnom Penh. VIETNAM: Cochinchina.
