Type locality. Nepal: Pokhara .

Specimen examined. No specimens seen, description summarized from Kirschenhofer (2012).

Description. Length 6.1–6.8 mm. Head, pronotum, scutellum and region around scutellum, suture and lateral border of elytra dark reddish yellow; first four segments of antennae, legs and palpi pale reddish yellow; eyes grey; elytra black with yellowish setae.

Head smooth, shiny, glabrous (except few setae on the frons); eyes protruding; antennae long, slender, reaching beyond the middle of elytra, with 3rd segment longest, longer than segments 1 and 2 combined; apical segment of palpi pointed.

Pronotum as long as broad, smooth, sparsely punctated pubescent; apex sinuate, base straight, apical margin with slight anterior projection on lateral sides; disc laterally with anterior 3/4th moderately convex, posterior 1/4th divergent, hind angles acute; median groove deep in the middle of the disc and shallow towards base and apex.

Elytra long, convex, widest after the mid-region; humerus obsolete, rounded; apex straight, truncate without re-entrant angle; striations weak, broad, shallow, intervals rounded; disc densely pubescent.

Distribution. INDIA: Uttarakhand ( Anichtchenko, 2019). NEPAL ( Hrdlicka, 2017).

Remarks. Similar to B. stevensi Andrewes, 1924 (Andrews 1924a but) differing in having the base of the pronotum straight without sinuation and dark black colour of elytra.
