The karyotype of this species consists of one pair of large and 9 pairs of medium to small telocentrics and the largest X telocentric ( Fig. 18a View FIGURE 18 ). Thus, 2n= 21 in the male. At first metaphase there are 10 bivalents and the X ( Fig. 18b View FIGURE 18 ). At first anaphase, the X moves to one pole with 10 autosomal entities and the other with 10 autosomes ( Fig. 18c View FIGURE 18 ). As a result of the first division, two types of second metaphases are formed. One has 10 autosomes with X ( Fig. 18d View FIGURE 18 ); the other is with 10 autosomes ( Fig. 18e View FIGURE 18 ).
