( Figs 92–94 View FIGURES 84–94 , 127 View FIGURES 119–127 , 221–222 View FIGURES 218–222 )

Description. MALE. Body length 1.56 mm. LFW 1.18 mm. Maximum wing width 0.46 mm. Color. Head dark castaneous; mesosoma castaneous; metasoma castaneous with light castaneous spots.

Head. Mandible with four apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe trapezoidal; median tooth angulate or nearly so; median carina complete apically or nearly so, straight in profile or nearly so. Ratio of first four antennal segments about 3:2:1:1. Frons weakly coriaceous, punctures small. LH 1 × WH, WF 0.67 × WH, WF 1.5 × HE, OOL 1.13 × WOT, DAO 0.38 × WOT, posterior ocelli distant from vertex crest 0.33 × DAO, frontal angle of ocellar triangle right, VOL 0.75 × HE. Vertex crest weakly convex. Occipital carina not visible in dorsal view.

Mesosoma. Pronotal disc strongly coriaceous, anterior margin ecarinate. Notauli deep, incomplete, almost reaching posterior margin of mesoscutum, evenly narrow, converging posterad. Propodeal disc 0.56 × as long as wide; basal triangle rugulose, posterolateral area weakly coriaceous; median carina posteriorly incomplete; lateral margins straight, parallel; posterior carina well-defined, with median concavity. Lateral of propodeum mostly polished. Propodeal declivity mostly imbricate.

Metasoma. Tergal process with deep, longitudinally elliptical and lateral pair of depressions; depressions 0.6 × as long as tergite II, diverging posterad, distant each other 2.75 × maximum transverse diameter, with setae long and posterad on lateral area; small and high pair of tubercles placed on anterior area of depression, conical in longitudinal section, entirely posterad, with small pit on top with one seta very short and posterad ( Figs 92–94 View FIGURES 84–94 ). Hypopygium with median stalk 0.73 × as long as hypopygeal plate; median stalk wide; corner of anterior margin rounded; lateral stalk of hypopygium 0.32 × as long as median stalk; posterior margin weakly concave; corner rounded ( Fig. 127 View FIGURES 119–127 ).

Genitalia ( Figs 221–222 View FIGURES 218–222 ). Genital ring slightly produced, each half straight in dorsal view. Basiparamere with dorsal surface rectangular, much narrower than ventral surface. Paramere with basal area as wide as basiparamere apex; apex angulate; apical margin subangulate in ventral view, angled mesad; inner surface of apical region with distinct seta. Basivolsella glabrous; with one long spiniform process, basal articulated, with rounded apex. Cuspis biramous. Aedeagus 1.66 × as long as wide; dorsal body of aedeagus narrower apically, narrowing progressively apicad, lateral margin strongly convex medially, parallel, wholly slightly curved dorsad, apex with one pair of outer lobe; base of dorsal body of aedeagus strongly sclerotized, triangular, with median region angulate; ventral ramus of aedeagus surpassing half length of dorsal body, reaching base of apical lobe of dorsal body, lateral margin of ventral ramus sinuous, much wider medially and apex much narrower than base. Apodeme extending beyond genital ring.

FEMALE unknown.

Paratypes: THAILAND. Malaise trap, Ubon Ratchathani: Pha Taem NP, 1 ♂ Huay Pok waterfall, 15°37.321’N 105°36.982’E, 419 m, 13–20.x.2006, Pornthip Tonsu leg., T724 GoogleMaps ; 1 ♂ Giant liana, 15°30.914’N 105°35.369’E, 120 m, 4–11.ix.2006, Mitchai Sai-ngam leg., T889 GoogleMaps .

Variations. Body length between 1.52 and 1.75 mm; LFW between 1.17 and 1.37 mm; maximum wing width between 0.45 and 0.60 mm; notaulus complete.

Remarks. Dissomphalus ferrurus sp. nov. is similar to D. wusheanus because of the following characteristics: aedeagal dorsal body compact, wider medially, with inner lobes widely exposed; basiparamere narrow in dorsal view and wide in ventral view. However, D. ferrurus sp. nov. differs from D. wusheanus as follows: base of paramere almost as wide as basiparamere apex; basivolsella with two short and narrow projections at median and apical regions; lateral margin of aedeagal dorsal body slightly convex; and aedeagal ventral ramus much wider medially.
