Dissomphalus lidinus Mugrabi & Azevedo , sp. nov.

( Figs 86–88 View FIGURES 84–94 , 124–125 View FIGURES 119–127 , 216–217 View FIGURES 210–217 )

Description. MALE. Body length 2.16 mm. LFW 1.71 mm. Maximum wing width 0.72 mm. Color. Head and mesosoma black; metasoma dark castaneous.

Head. Mandible with two apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe ill-defined; with one tooth, median tooth rounded; median carina absent. Ratio of first four antennal segments about 11:5:5:5. Frons weakly coriaceous, punctures small. LH 1.03 × WH, WF 0.59 × WH, WF 1.17 × HE, OOL 1.1 × WOT, DAO 0.3 × WOT, posterior ocelli distant from vertex crest 0.17 × DAO, frontal angle of ocellar triangle right, VOL 0.53 × HE. Vertex crest weakly convex. Occipital carina visible in dorsal view.

Mesosoma. Pronotal disc strongly coriaceous, anterior margin ecarinate. Notauli shallow, complete, evenly narrow, converging posterad. Propodeal disc 1.5 × as long as wide; basal triangle rugulose, posterolateral area scrobiculate; median carina posteriorly incomplete; lateral margins straight, parallel; posterior carina weakly marked medially, concave. Lateral of propodeum mostly areolate. Propodeal declivity mostly polished.

Metasoma. Tergal process absent ( Figs 86–88 View FIGURES 84–94 ,). Hypopygium with median stalk 0.81 × as long as hypopygeal plate; median stalk narrow; corner of anterior margin angular; lateral stalk of hypopygium 0.18 × as long as median stalk; posterior margin angularly convex folded dorsad; corner absent ( Figs 124–125 View FIGURES 119–127 ).

basiparamere apex, ventral margin slightly excavated forming a projection with apex angulate; apex subangulate; apical margin strongly concave in ventral view, not curved. Basivolsella glabrous. Aedeagus 1.5 × as long as wide; dorsal body of aedeagus narrower apically, narrowing abruptly apicad, lateral margin strongly convex medially, diverging apicad, wholly slightly curved dorsad, apex with one pair of outer lobe; base of dorsal body of aedeagus weakly sclerotized, triangular, with median region truncate; ventral ramus of aedeagus surpassing half length of dorsal body, reaching base of apical lobe of dorsal body, lateral margin of ventral ramus straight, evenly narrow and base much narrower than apex. Apodeme extending beyond genital ring.

FEMALE unknown.

Material examined. Holotype, ♂. THAILAND. Kamphaeng Phet: Mae Wong NP, Chong Yen , 16°5.968’N 99°6.472’E, 1306 m, 1–3.xii.2007, Chumpol Piluk & Aram Inpuang leg., T2822 GoogleMaps . Paratypes: THAILAND. Malaise trap, Kamphaeng Phet: Mae Wong NP, Chong Yen , 16°5.968’N 99°6.472’E, 1306 m, Chumpol Piluk & Aram Inpuang leg., 2 ♂ 3–10.ix.2007, T2812 GoogleMaps , 1 ♂ 1–3.xii.2007, T2822 GoogleMaps .

Variations. Body length between 1.60 and 2.28 mm; LFW between 1.29 and 1.75 mm; maximum wing width between 0.57 and 0.72 mm; posterior transverse carina of pronotal disc absent; scutellar groove dilated medially.

Remarks. This species has long antennae and head with thick black seta. It is similar to D. kelsus sp. nov. because of the following characteristics: hypopygium rounded, apex of median stalk abruptly dilated; genitalia globoid, metasomal tergite II with arc of few and sparse setae, and genital ring extremely wide. However, D. lidinus sp. nov. differs from D. kelsus sp. nov. as follows: hypopygeal posterior margin with wide and rounded median evagination, which is curved dorsad; aedeagal dorsal body elliptical, narrower apically, lateral margins strongly convex medially, its outer lobes little exposed in dorsal view; aedeagal ventral ramus longer than half length of dorsal body, reaching base of apical lobe of dorsal body.

Distribution. Thailand (Kamphaeng Phet).
