Distribution: Contrary to other species in the genus, this species has a relatively large range in the southern Taurus within the borders of Mersin, Konya and Isparta provinces. The population in the northern part (Konya and Isparta) shows some differences from that in the south (Mersin) (compare figure A and B in Figures 88, 220). However, these regional populations do not deserve to be defined as separate species, but subspecies level classification is not considered.
