As discussed by Bauer and Günther (Bauer & Günther 1991), this nomen ( Lichtenstein 1823a) is not available, because it was published without a description and none of the indications listed by the Code in Art. 12.2 can be found in the text: the reference to Hemprich is in fact to an unpublished work (Art. 12.2.1) and two species are included in the new genus Ascalabotes (hence conditions of Art. 12.2.6 are not met).
