Diagnosis

Adult ( Figure 7A View Figure 7 ): Wingspan 13.0–16.0 mm. This species resembles H. klimeschi Ponomarenko et Huemer superficially. It can be distinguished from H. klimeschi by the valva with dorsal and ventral margins nearly parallel in the male genitalia ( Figure 11A View Figure 11 ), the eighth tergite with wedge-shaped sclerotization on posterior margin in the female genitalia ( Figure 14A View Figure 14 ); whereas in H. klimeschi , the dorsal margin of valva is projecting before apex in the male genitalia, the eighth tergite without wedge-shaped sclerotization in the female genitalia. In addition, the male eighth tergite is newly reported as follows: nearly heart-shaped, the anterior margin concave in an inverted trapezium, the lateral sides slightly concave, and the posterior margin rounded ( Figure 10A View Figure 10 ).

Remarks

In H. flavilineolella Ponomarenko , the ventral surface of the abdomen is strongly sclerotized from abdominal support system to anterior margin of third segment, forming a sclerotized subrectangular plate that is longitudinally arched mesially and concave in a triangle or a semicircle posteriorly ( Figure 10R View Figure 10 ).
