Diagnosis

Adult ( Figure 9A View Figure 9 ). Wingspan 12.5–14.0 mm. This species is distinguishable by the costal margin of forewing with an inverted triangular yellow mark at four-fifths length and in male, the ventral surface of the hindwing with a row of long black hairs along basal quarter of Sc+R; the eighth tergite with broad sclerotized oval-circled band ( Figure 10J View Figure 10 ), and the valva with distal half protruding dorsally in the male genitalia ( Figure 12E View Figure 12 ).

Female genitalia

Anterior apophyses about one-third length of posterior apophyses ( Figure 15A View Figure 15 ). Antrum nearly trapezoidal. Ductus bursae with basal half narrow and membranous, distal half broad and sclerotized, dorsal surface distally with an oblong sclerite extending into corpus bursae. Corpus bursae oval, left side with a coiled tube at posterior one-fifth length; ductus seminalis arising from apex of tube.

Distribution

China (Jiangxi, Sichuan, Taiwan).

Remarks

Helcystogramma hassenzanensis Park et Hodges is firstly reported for Mainland China. The female genitalia are described for the first time.
