( Figs. 27A–D View FIGURES 27 A – D )

Type series. Holotype male: Small stream Layang Layang, Mt Kinabalu, 6º 0 2.711 N 116º 33.627 E, alt. 2697 m asl, 12-ix-2012. Paratype female, same data as holotype ( RMNH).

Diagnosis. Dorsal shield reticulated, with two pairs of glandularia and two pairs of setae without glandularia. Vgl-4 fused separated from ventral shield in male, but fused in female.

Description. Colour yellowish. Dorsal shield reticulated laterally, with two pairs of glandularia and two pairs of setae without glandularia; postocularia anterior to dgl-1. Genital field with acetabula lying in a triangle.

Male: Idiosoma 466 long and 340 wide. Excretory pore indistinct. Dorsal furrow with three pairs of glandularia, a pair of small platelets with a seta and two pairs of slit organs. One pair of slit organs fused with posterolateral edge of dorsal shield. Gonopore 62 long. Length/height of P1–P5: 25/17, 45/29, 34/24, 66/20, 30/10; P4 relatively long. Length of I-leg-4–6: 60, 62, 44. Length of IV-leg-4–6: 88, 90, 68; IV-legs relatively long and strong. Legs without swimming setae.

Female: Idiosoma 454 long and 348 wide. Dorsal shield 437 long and 300 wide posterior pair of slit organs lying free in the dorsal furrow. Pair of glandularia between IV-leg sockets and genital field not visible. One large egg present, 116 in diameter. Length/height of P1–P5: 22/17, 46/32, 35/25, 68/20, 30/10. Length of I-leg-4–6: 44, 68, 64. Length of IV-leg-4–6: 84, 94, 66. Legs without swimming setae.

Etymology. Named for the reticulated dorsal shield.

Remarks. In comparison with all other species of the genus, J. reticulata is characterized by the dorsal shield with two pairs of setae without associated glandularia and the fusion of a pair of slit organs with the dorsal shield in the male.

Distribution. Borneo; known only from the locus typicus at high altitude.
