Holotype: ♀. BOLIVIA, Santa Cruz, above Achira, Rd to Floripondo , 1900 m, 19 December , 2001 ( MNKM) . Paratypes: 9 specimens. Bolivia: Departamento de Santa Cruz, above Achira, road to Floripondo , 18°09'S 63°47'W, 1900 m, 19-XII- 2001, Wappes, Bonaso, & Morris ( WOPC, 1; ACTM, 4) GoogleMaps ; idem, 10-XII-2011, Wappes, Bonaso, & R, Morris ( ACTM, 2; WOPC, 1) GoogleMaps ; La Hoyada, above Agua Clara, 19-XI-2003, Morris, Nearns, & Wappes ( RFMC, 1) .

D i a g n o s i s: Within the M. testacea species group, only the members of this species have each elytron disc show 3 transverse black fasciae.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 9.5 mm; width 4.1 mm. Form: As in Fig. 157. Color: Castaneous, except elytral disc with 3 black fasciae, 1 basal, 1 medial, and 1 posteriorly located. Head: Funicular antennomeres subfiliform, capitular antennomeres 9 and 10 triangular ( Fig. 39 View Figs 34-46 ), antennomere 11 ovate; frons wider than width of eye ( EW /FW 35/55). Thorax: Pronotum (Fig. 78) oblong ( PW /PL 130/140), side margin with welldeveloped tubercles, disc narrowly subglabrous at middle; elytral asetiferous punctation striate at middle of elytron, end at elytral middle, otherwise punctures extend to elytral apical 2/3 rd ( EL /EW 390/130). Abdomen: Pygidium scutiform; posterior margin of 6 th visible sternite faintly incised; aedeagus, phallic apex as in Fig. 158.

V a r i a t i o n: Size: Length 6.0- 9.4 mm; width 2.5-4.1 mm. The third, the most posterior, transverse black fascia is missing in the specimen from "La Hoyada".

N a t u r a l h i s t o r y: Specimens was collected during November and December, one at 1900 m.

E t y m o l o g y: Thetrivialname, zona (= belt), is a Latin noun. I refer to the dark transverse bands on the elytral disc.

D i s t r i b u t i o n ( Fig. 97 View Fig ): This species is known from Bolivia.
