Material. Type material. Holotype, male, point-mounted: SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES: St. Vincent : St. Vincent, no locality and date provided, H. H. Smith [95-206] (BMNH).

Diagnosis. Recognized among species of Ommatides by the elytrous males (females unknown) with raised veins and surpassing tip of abdomen; small body length (1.05 mm); pale yellow coloration on head, thorax, and anterior part of the forewing including the clavus; and males with dorsally expanded 1st labial segment extending from head at right angle in lateral view and with numerous short, black setae on medial surface of each lobe. Most similar to O. zanderij sp. nov., but distinguished by the proximal half of forewing pale, and the dorsally expanded bilobed 1st labial segment extending from head at right angle in lateral view.

Re-Description. Male: wing elytrous with raised veins, surpassing tip of abdomen; total length (with wing): 1.05 mm; total body length: 0.95 mm; body ovoid. COLORATION: head brown with pale yellow infuscation; labium yellow; pronotum brown; anterior half of forewing pale yellow and posterior half brown; thorax and legs yellow; abdomen brown ( Figs 1–3 View FIGURE 1 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 ). SURFACE AND VESTITURE: lobes of dorsally expanded 1st labial segment with numerous short, black setae on medial surface; number of setae on anterior surface of forefemur, hind tibia and 2nd tarsomere unknown (due to poor condition of specimen). STRUCTURE. HEAD: disc declivous anteriorly; dorsally rounded lobe of 1st labial segment extending from head at right angle in lateral view; 2nd segment elongate; 3rd labial segment represented by small lateral sclerite; 4th labial segment broken off. THORAX: ratio of pronotal collar length to pronotum length 0.33; collar not depressed below rest of pronotum ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 ); posterolateral margin of pronotum very shallowly and broadly concave; postnotum unknown (only observable when wings can be moved, which is not the case in this specimen); ratio of height of forefemur to length of forefemur unknown; tarsal formula unknown, ratio of length of hind tibia to width of pronotum unknown; venation of elytrous forewing as in Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ; hemelytra thickened and venation reduced; costal border moderately curved, with middle areole moderately wide; and the thick Cu vein running parallel with M to tip of membrane; 2 transverse veins on lateral margin of wing; membrane as thick as corium with inner margin straight and not overlapping at tip; apex little tapering and rounded at tip. ABDOMEN AND GENITALIA: not documented (covered by wings).

Female: unknown.

Distribution. Only known from the type locality on Saint Vincent in the Lesser Antilles.

Macrohabitat and Collecting method: Unknown.
