Paratype: SU 7271 (1) , Formosa; SU 7333 (1) , Taihoku [Taipei], coll. Tada. Remark. The figured specimen is labeled type and evidently has been determined to be the holotype. This species was referred to as a junior synonym of Zacco platypus in previous publications. Chen and Chang (2005) and
Chen et al. (2008) provided the evidence of the validity of this species.
