ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1869c: 188.

TYPE LOCALITY: Rondani gave no type locality in his original description but Delpino (1869: 232) indicated Chiavari (Genoa, Italy) as the collecting locality .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, lectotype ( MZUF: Box 38): Oscinis Fab. / delpinii Rnd. / 2072 / Lectotypus Oscinis delpinii Rond. , ♀, Dely-Draskovits, 1982 / Tricimba lineella Fall. , det. Dely-Draskovits, 1982.

PARALECTOTYPES EXAMINED: 1 ♂, 1 ♀, 1 specimen (sex not determinable, damaged; all three glued to the same cardboard) ( MZUF: Box 38): Oscinis Fab. / delpinii Rnd. / 2072 / Paralectotypus Oscinis delpinii Rond. , ♀, Dely-Draskovits, 1982 / Tricimba lineella Fall. , det. Dely-Draskovits, 1982.

PARALECTOTYPES NOT EXAMINED: 1 ♀ (MZUF: Box 38): Oscinis Fab. / delpinii Rnd. / 2072; 1 ♂ (MZUF: Box 39): Oscinis Fab. / aristolochiae Rnd. / 2072 / Paralectotypus Oscinis aristolochiae Rond. , ♂, Dely-Draskovits, 1982 / Tricimba humeralis Loew , det. Dely-Draskovits, 1982.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Tricimba lineella ( Fallén, 1820) ( Nartshuk 1984b: 251) .

REMARKS: Rondani (1869c: 188) described Oscinis delpinii , without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens received from F. Delpino. Dely-Draskovits (1983: 332) designated a lectotype (♀) and paralectotypes (1 ♂, 1 ♀, 1 specimen, sex not determinable). Not included by him in the type series is the additional MZUF female numbered “2072”, and the Oscinis delpinii male numbered “2072” (in Box 39 under the name “ Oscinis aristolochiae ”), which he considered as belonging to the species Oscinis aristolochiae (both of these additional specimens are paralectotypes).
