Comments: The color patterns in Perreyiella seem to be highly variable. Some specimens previously identified as P. nigra , with completely black coloration, were reassigned to P. lacourti , since when extracting the genitalia from some males we found characteristic basiparameres (= gonostipes) with parapenis lobes absent ( Fig. 22c ); this observation shows that color variation in P. lacourti overlaps that of other species. In addition, the antennae of the females are not only filiform as described previously, but can be serrated with the flagellomere broadening distally.
